TOPPS Clothing for Women:
This venerable institution of Omaha’s elite had been in the same store since the mid-60s, along with Peck and Peck and other fine retail establishments. The new look comprised panelized walls covered in a variety of wood veneers and fabrics; A central host / cash area beneath a gold-leaf dome at the center of the store; and the Owner’s office replete with mirrored panel walls and business / lounge seating for private client runway shows.
First Presbyterian Church, Kearney Nebraska:
To meet the needs of the growing congregation, a “new look” was desired. The membership left their historic behind in the central town core, moving only the pipe organ and historic stained-glass dome to the new facility. An elongated narthex terminated at its widest at the gymnasium / church social hall, adjacent to the sanctuary. Further down, as the narthex narrowed, were placed bathrooms and classrooms. A large eight-foot window terminated the narthex, with the idea that, should the congregation grow, the window could be removed and the initial building construction extended to the ball fields that are a part of the church’s mission.
